摘要
Abstract In this paper, a novel modified chitosan was prepared with chitosan, ethyl acetate, and epichlorohydrin at ratios of 60:3:2 (mL/mL), using ethylacetate as cross-linker. This prepared material was evaluated by FT-IR spectra, SEM images, and UV spectra analysis. FT-IR spectra results indicated that epichlorohydrine might have reacted with chitosan and the modified chitosan had been formed. SEM image analysis showed that the addition of epichlorohydrine had important effect on the crystallinity and the cross-linked degree of the modified chitosan. The adsorption test indicated that the modified chitosan exhibited higher selectivity and adsorption capacity toward olaquindox than that of structurally related compounds. It offered a faster kinetics for the adsorption and desorption of olaquindox, and an 11.04 mg g−1 of binding capacity was obtained within a shaking period of 120 min, which was 73.3% of the saturated binding capacity, and the adsorption equilibrium was almost reached within 180 min.
