Research on intervention effect of breviscapme injection on rats with pulmonary fibrosis

Objective:To investigate the effect of Breviscapine Injection on changes of in oxyradical contents and microstructure of the pulmonary tissue of sprague-dawley(SD)rats with pulmonary fibrosis induced by pouring bleomycin into the lungs.Methods:Forty pulmonary fibrosis rats that were poured bleomycin into lungs were randomLy divided into four groups:contro,l bleomycin(BLM),breviscapine(BRE) and dexamethasone(DXM) group,with 10 rats in each group.After 7,28 days,the HYP、MDA and SOD of lung were measured,and the histology was examined.Results:In the BRE group,the MAD was significantly lower and the SOD significantly highter than which of BLM group,and the degree of fibrosis was more mitigative than BLM group when examined by microscope,similar to that in the DXM group.Conclusion:breviscapus may be useful in inhibiting pulmonary fibrosis,and can reduce the damage caused by oxygen-derived free radicals in bleomycin.
