The Progress of Research on Intangible Cultural Heritage of Sports

With the prosperity and development of Chinese culture,the protection of intangible cultural heritage is becoming particularly important. In order to compare,analyze and summarize the researches during 2003-2013 on the matter ofSports intangible cultural heritage,various researching techniques has been used in this paper, such as mathematical statistics analysis method,literature analyzing,etc.. Current studies on this subject are mainly from the aspects of protection and inheritance,regional studies,case studies,successors studies,legal protection studies,campus heritage studies,media studies,sociologically study and researches relating to the new rural construction,etc. In this paper,several ways of developing and protecting the sports intangible cultural heritage have been raised,such as suggesting by the help of mass media in raising public awareness on protecting the sports intangible culture heritage; bringing sports intangible cultural heritage into school physical education and by this means deepen the inheriting and protection of Chinese sports intangible cultural heritage; and industrializing this to the extant such as the exploration of sports tourism industry and so on.
