The progress in studies on induced differentiation of embryonic stem cell

Embryonic stem cell (ESC) has self-renewal capability and developmental pluripotency, which makesit a hot spot of current medical research. ESC can differentiate spontaneously, while it also can differentiate intoa certain kind of mature cells under induction. Therefore, ESC can be used in many fields such as transplanta-tion medicine, developmental biology and so on. This review summarizes several strategies that can be used forinducing ESC to differentiate specifically.
