Objective:To determine the serum concentration of tetramine (TET) poisoning in children with hemoperfusion (HP). Methods: The 6 cases were treated by hemoperfusion. The concentrations of TET in plasma were determined by gas chromatography method (GC). Results: The values of t1/2 of TET at hemoperfusion stages and no-hemoperfusion phases were (3.86±0.89)h (n=9) and (90.19±92.21)h (n=5), respectively. Conclusions: The HP was safe and effective for treating TET poisoning in children. The results show that the t1/2 of TET has been remarkable decreased during hemoperfusion stages. The TET concentration-time curves show that the hemoperfusion could enhance the elimination of TET.
