摘要
Porous liquids (PLs) make up a novel class of liquid porous materials that integrate the features of flowing liquid and porous solid systems. Because of the fast gas diffusion and high gas solubility, PLs have exhibited outstanding potentiality for CO 2 capture since the first example was realized in 2015. Given the lack of a specific review of PLs for CO 2 capture, there is a pressing need to have an in-depth discussion now. In this review, the fundamentals of porous liquids are first introduced. Next, PLs used as a flowing sorbent for CO 2 capture are presented. Then, the focus of the state-of-the-art status on the diverse design strategies of PLs is discussed in detail. In addition, practical considerations toward applications are summarized. Finally, the conclusions and perspectives faced by the development of PLs for CO 2 capture are outlined and explored.
