Concentrating solar power plant (CSP) generation is a latest approach of utilizing solar resources to generate electricity in recent years, which has a considerable development prospect. The CSP with thermal energy storage (TES) system has features of good dispatchability and operation flexibility, which is beneficial for reducing fluctuation of output power of renewable power generation. The operation mechanism of CSP is analyzed, and the dispatching model of CSP with TES is also formulated. CSP is integrated with the photovoltaic and wind energy generation to improve the multi-energy system operation schedulability, and an optimal dispatching strategy based on multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to suppress the wind-photovoltaic output power fluctuation. The equivalent load and operation cost of systems are calculated, and the practicability of CSP with TES in reducing output fluctuation and operation cost is successfully verified in the results.
