摘要
Traditional Chinese medicine bioactives have considerable therapeutic value in psoriasis management, while their clinical applications are still constrained by the insufficient therapeutic efficacy of single components, uncontrolled release, and low local bioavailability. In this study, we report a hierarchically structured microparticle system loaded with multiple plant-derived bioactives for psoriasis therapy. The microparticles of sodium alginate (SA) hydrogel with polydopamine (PDA)-modification were fabricated through microfluidics, co-loaded with paeoniflorin (PF) and ginger-derived exosome-like nanoparticles (GELNs). Benefiting from the porous structure of hydrogel and adhesive property of PDA, the microparticles enable stable co-encapsulation of multiple plant-derived bioactives and achieve sustained release at lesion sites, enhancing local bioavailability. The encapsulated PF and GELNs exert complementary anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-proliferative effects, collectively regulating key pathological processes associated with psoriasis. These results prove that the microparticle-based multiple plant-derived bioactives delivery system provides a safe, cost-effective, and translatable approach for long-term topical treatment of psoriasis, highlighting their therapeutic potential in inflammatory skin diseases.
