In this paper, effects of diets containing different levels of methionine and/or betaine fed to broilers on feed intake, live weight and carcass traits were investigated. Total 504 of one day old broilers were grouped into seven treatments with four replicates of 18 birds. The birds were freely access to the control diet or treatment diets for 7 weeks. In spite of levels of methionine and/or betaine in diets, no significant difference among treatments was found. It is concluded that the savable efficacy of betaine for methionine needs to be verified further.
