Y2O3:Eu3+ red phosphor was synthesized by roasting assisted with(NaCl+S+Na2CO3) compound molten salt using Y2(C2O4)3:Eu3+ as precursor.The effects of components and amount of compound molten salt,sintering temperature and time on the particle size,morphology and luminescent properties of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor were mainly studied by XRD,SEM and luminescence spectrum.The results indicate that the suitable mol fraction content of NaCl is between 40%~45%(based on the total mol of compound molten salt),the optimal mol ratio of the compound molten salt to precursor is 2~2.5,the best condition for roasting is 1 300 ℃ holding for 2 h and the peak intensity of the phosphor prepared is about 11% higher than that of the commercial phosphor.Meanwhile,the average diameter of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor is about 1~3 μm,less than the commercial phosphor and the particles are well dispersed,nearly spherical shape and have no surface defects.
