Determination of hypericin from Hypericum Perforatum L.in Taibai

This paper first determines hypericin from every part of Hypericum Perforatum L. in Taibai by spectrophotometry.the determined result of hypericin is as follows: flowerover half part of the whole grassleaveswhole grassfruitbelow half of the whole grassstemroot.On the basis of the determined result, it is proposed that the suitable harvesting period of Hypericum Perforatum L.for medicinal purpose is the time before the fruit is formed, the bloom period is the best,and scientifically, the part of Hypericum Perforatum L.is that above the position branched main stem.
