Antimicrobial effects of antagonistic yeast on Penicillium digitatum

Antagonistic yeast Pichia membranaefaciens and Debaryomyces hansenii from citrus were used to study on effects of culture temperature,culture time,PDB amount on their growth and their antimicrobial effects in vitro.The results showed that effects of three factors on antagonistic yeasts growth were culture temperatureculture timePDB amount.The growth rate of Pichia membranaefaciens was faster than that of Debaryomyces hansenii.Antimicrobial effects became more obvious with the increase of the concentration of antagonistic yeasts,1×106 CFU/mL was best concentration.Pichia membranaefaciens was better than Debaryomyces hansenii in the inhibitory effect.
