In Wang An-yi’s novels all the phases of her creations represent the writing of the sense of solitude of life. The sense of solitude can be divided into two: individual solitude and collective unconscious solitude. The living experiences set a lonely tune for her creations, the living environment provided the soil for the growing of the sense of the solitude. The sad sense of the academics made her shoulder the responsibilities of the hardships of exploring the solitude. Wang An-yi wants to make solitude as her creations, watch solitude and go forward.
