In this study, we developed a gas diffusion electrodes (GDE) and an electrolysis device capable of electrochemically generating hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), a multipurpose oxidizer.Carbon black (CB) and carbon nanotube (CNT) as carbon-based catalysts were used for GDE development and PTFE was used as a binder.Gas diffusion layer (GDL) was applied by compressing nickel foam laminated with four layers to 300 bar which was selected through visual inspection and air permeability analysis. To generate H2O2 of target concentration (500 mg/L), GDE of about 36 cm 2 was fabricated according to the proposed development process.Performance evaluation about H2O2 generation was conducted by applying GDE coated with 10~60% (w/w) PTFE contents to developed electrolysis device.GDE of PTFE 50% (CB) showed the highest efficiency on average 88.4% (Max.89.2%, 509.84 mg/L).From these results, it was concluded that the developed GDE and electrolysis device could be used as a H2O2 generation device.
