PERBANDINGAN PENGARUH PLIOMETRIK SINGLE LEG TUCK JUMP DENGANDEPTH JUMP TERHADAP PENINGKATAN NILAI VERTICAL JUMPPEMAIN BASKET DI UMM

Research Background : Vertical jump is an important movement in basketball and very useful in contributing to the achievement of points in basketball. To increase the vertical jump can be done with plyometric exercises such as single tuck jump and depth jump. This study aims to find out the comparison of plyometric effects of single leg tuck jump with depth jump on increasing the vertical jump value of basketball players at UMM. Method: The research design is using quasi experimental with two group pretest-posttest approach. The study was conducted on 17 April to 11 May 2018 with 32 respondents divided into 2 groups, 16 people in plyometric group single leg tuck jump and 16 people in plyometric depth jump group.measuring instrument used in this research is vertical jump test by attaching a tape measure to the wall. Data analysis using independent t-test with SPSS version 16. Result : Independent t-test calculation results obtained sig. 2 tailed 0.01 <0.05, then H1 is accepted, so that the result shows that there is comparison of plyometric effect of single leg tuck jump with depth jump to increase the vertical jump value of basketball player in UMM. Conclusion : There is a comparison of the influence of single leg tuck jump plyometric with depth jump on increasing the vertical jump value of basketball players at UMM.
