摘要
This study reports the process of adaptation and validation of TechCheck-2 for the Portuguese context, aiming to provide a validated, reliable, and appropriate tool for assessing Computational Thinking in students among Early Elementary Education ($1^{\text {st }}$ to $4^{\text {th }}$ grade). TechCheck-2, originally developed for $2^{\text {nd }}$ and $3^{\text {rd }}$ grade children, was translated and administered to 207, $3^{\text {rd }}$ grade students. Psychometric results, analysed through Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory, show good validity and reliability properties, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.653. The instrument demonstrated the ability to discriminate between different performance levels, being particularly informative for students with intermediate skills. No statistically significant differences were found between genders or age groups, reinforcing the equity of the instrument. It is concluded that the Portuguese version of TechCheck-2 is a robust tool for assessing Computational Thinking in the Portuguese school context, contributing to research and educational practice in this area.
