Frequency of Insemination for Artificial Insemination by Donor

Summary: Two programmes of artificial insemination by donor (A.I.D.) using fresh semen are compared. In both studies the selection of donors and recipients, and the techniques of timing and insemination were identical, except that the first group had 1 insemination per cycle and the second group had 2 inseminations per cycle. The ratio of pregnancies per insemination cycle was 11.3: 20.1, respectively and cumulative pregnancies per 100 women after 6 months were 50.3 from the first group and 66.3 for the second.
