Time-Stretch Analog-to-Digital Conversion Using Phase Modulation and Broadband Balanced Coherent Detection for Improving Resolution

We introduce a novel implementation of time-stretch analog-to-digital conversion which uses phase modulation and balanced coherent detection for improving resolution. Proof of concept experiment demonstrates time-stretching of phase encoded signal.
