摘要
Changes in amino acid (AA) levels have been observed in women with pre-eclampsia, but data on their newborns are scarce. This study aimed to evaluate 11 AAs in newborns of 378 PE and 18,666 non-PE pregnant women. We found that the levels of alanine, arginine, glycine, methionine, phenylalanine, valine, and leucine/isoleucine/hydroxyproline in newborns of PE women were significantly higher than those of non-PE women, whereas the level of tyrosine was lower. This different metabolic status deserves further study to determine whether this pattern persists or is likely to increase the risk of future diseases in these newborns.
