Study on Extraction of Water-soluble Polysaccharide of Sterculia lychnophora

The extracting technology was studied on the water-soluble polysaccharides from Sterculia lychnophora.With the orthogonal experimental design,the optimum conditions of the hot water extraction were obtained: the raw materials were extracted by water at 90℃ for 1 h with a ratio(material to solvent) of 1∶55.The ultrasonic-aided conditions were time:15 min,power:250W ratio of material to solvent:1∶55.The results showed that under the optimum extracting conditions,the content of the water-solute polysaccharides by ultrasonic extraction was 3.44 times as much as the hot water extraction,indicating that it is a better method for polysaccharide extraction of S.lychnophora.
