The Research of Barrier Performance for Aluminium Foil Laminated Films

The factors affecting the barrier performance for Aluminium foil laminated films were discussed and some wrong viewpoints about barrier performance for foil laminated material were pointed out. The relations of foil pinhole and barrier performance of foil laminated films were studied and theoretical expressions were deducted. The influence of the thickness of BOPP or PE to the barrier performance of foil laminated films was discussed with the deducted expression. The test methods of oxygen and moisture permeability were analyzed and found to have some problems. It was suggested that we should study the whole course of foil laminated package, from manufacturing,packaging,transport to sales, and then, we can get the real and reliable barrier performance of the package.
