Analysis of the X-Y Coordinate System of an Antenna Pedestal

To overcome zenith-passing limitation,an X-Y pedestal architecture has been developed to track aircraft and LEO satellites over the entire hemisphere.This paper analyzes some main factors that affect precision of axis system of X-Y pedestal,classifies these factors and compares the X-Y pedestal with the A-Z pedestal.It can be used as reference for the design of axis system of pedestal.
