GC-MS and FT-IR were employed to characterize the gas component and condensed phase of intercontact and isolated system of nitrate ester explosive and polyurethane binder,which were heated at 100oC for tens of hours.The results showed that: on condition of direct contact,NO2 produced by nitrate ester decomposition promoted the degradation of polyurethane and speeded up the self-accelaration decomposition.Decomposition products of polyurethane binder would further catalyze the decomposition of nitrate ester.While evoluted gas components of nitrate ester explosive and polyurethane binder respectively had no effect on their physical and chemical structure.
