Angiopoietins promote angiogenesis, remodeling, maturation and maintenance in blood vessel, and are closely correlated with inflammatory angiogenesis and proliferation and metastasis of tumor cells, including Angiopoitin 1、2、3、4. Ang1 promotes angiogenesis through activation of Tie2 receptor, having effect of anti-apoptosis, anti-ischemia and anti-inflammation. Ang2 and VEGF may have synergy for angiogenesis. The expression of Ang2 can be regulated by hyperbaric oxygen and hypoxia. Ang2 promotes proliferation of glioma cells, which depends on activation of MMP-2. Inhibition of signal transducted ascade reaction of Angs/Tie 2 is a promising methd of treating tumor.
