Study of temperature controlling of a solid Fabry–Pérot etalon

摘要
The solid Fabry-Pérot etalon is a widely used optical passive device in optical communications. However, the optical characteristics of Fabry-Pérot etalons are temperature dependent. In this study, we designed a temperature Insulation structure and employed a PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controlling algorithm. The temperature influence on the etalon transmission spectrum is also discussed according to its temperature characteristics. By analyzing the experimental data, the effects of temperature control and non-temperature control on the Fabry-Pérot etalon were compared.
