PREFERENTIAL BENT STRUCTURE OF THE HYDROPHOBIC GROUP OF TRITON X-100 SURFACTANT. A RAMAN SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY

Abstract Structure of the hydrophobic group of Triton X-100 surfactant was studied by a Raman spectroscopic method. The spectral analysis indicated that this group preferentially takes the bent structure with the 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl group in the gauche conformation.
