Effect of Additives on a Polyoxyethylene Sorbitan Fatty Acid Ester

The micellar behaviour of a nonionic surfactant of the POE sorbitan fatty acid ester type in different concentrations of methanol, propanol-1, butanol-2 and t-butanol in water as well as in pure water was studied by surface tension measurements at 30°C. Various thermodynamic parameters were evaluated.
