Since the pioneering publication of first paper on application of capillary electrophoresis (CE) in separation of enantiomers in 1985 by Gassmann et al. () a large number of such applications with different chiral selectors have been developed (, , , , , , ). Cyclodextrins (CDs) are the most frequently employed chiral selectors, since their first application in isotachophoresis (). The application of CDs for capillary zone electrophoresis was pioneered a one year later by Fanali () for chiral separation of symphatomimetic drugs.
