Three-dimensional solid model of the suspension of caterpillar armoured vehicles is built by PRO/E.Modal analysis of the suspension is done on ANSYS.The first 10-order natural vibration frequencies and modal vibration mode of the suspension are obtained.Based on the analysis of the results,optimization of the local structure of the suspension is achieved in order to reduce the system mass,to natural frequencies and modal vibration mode and improve the structural design.Suspension system will not resonate.The system mass will be reduced,and the system dynamic characteristics will be also improved.
