Determination of total saponins and oleanolic acid in Hemsleya chinensis Cogn.

To establish a method for determination of total saponins and oleanolic acid in Hemsleya chinensis Cogn.the content of total saponins and oleanolic acid were determinated by colorimetry method and HPLC method respectively.The results were as follows: 2.53?%for total saponins,1.15?% for total oleanolic acid,and 0.010?5?% for dissociative oleanolic acid.The developed method provides a simple and accurate way in detecting the total saponins and oleanolic acid in Hemsleya chinensis Cogn.
