摘要
Increased harmonic emission challenges equipment function. Those emissions can interfere LED lamps and cause undesired light intensity variation. In this study, AC-DC LED drivers and their light intensity variation are analysed under harmonics. Impacts on the light intensity is observed with different harmonic number, harmonic phase angle and magnitudes. Results show that existence of harmonic/phase angle can cause significant deviations in the light intensity metrics. This can result in temporary light flicker if the harmonic/phase angle changes suddenly in the mains. To ensure reliable operation, LED driver designer and standard committees should consider these results.
