Winging of scapula is of two types; dynamic and static. Here a case of static winging of scapula due to an osteochondroma in the ventral aspect of the scapula is described. The patient presented with the complaints of a swelling in the back. Clinical examination revealed static winging of scapula. X-rays showed the presence of a bony swellind arising from the medial border of scapula. The swelling was excided through an incision parallel to the medial border of scapula.
