Absorption spectra in the visible and U.V. region of potassium permanganate and potassium manganate in solution and their application to the analysis of mixtures of these compounds

Abstract Values for the molecular extinctions of manganate and permanganate in aqueous solution have been determined. A method is described for the spectrophotometrical analysis of mixtures of manganate and permanganate in alkaline solutions.
