摘要
Fe2O3 nanoparticles were synthesized using a modified coprecipitation technique. For the optimal results, Ferric chloride was added to different surfactant with different ratio of metal ions/surfactant. Surfactants were employed with various charge such as anionic cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), cationic sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), and neutral TritonX-100. The size and crystalline structure of these nanoparticles were controlled by changing the surfactant and ratio of metal ions/surfactant. Anionic stabilizer leads to smallest size and narrowest size distribution and the most crystalline. The samples were characterized using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, FT-IR spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer.
