摘要
Extract Cough and sputum production are the most frequent and troublesome symptoms for patients with bronchiectasis [1, 2]. Symptom severity is associated with worse outcomes, including risk of exacerbation, therefore reducing daily symptoms is a key objective of the recent European Respiratory Society (ERS) clinical practice guidelines for the management of adult bronchiectasis, which were published in December 2025 [3].
