Aiming at the problem of coal slurry treatment in coal separation plants,the affects of sedimentation are studied about stir intensity,flocculant quantity,PAM molecular weight,coal slurry concentration and ζ potential to subsidence effect by flocculation and sedimentation test of coal slurry from several coal separation plants.The result shows that,under the condition that the concentration of coal slurry is 80 g/L,the proportion of PAM and dry coal slurry is 1∶10 000,the speed of the stirrer is 300~400 r/min,the tests reach the best effect.And the mechanism of coal slurry flocculation is also discussed.
