The Clinic Curative Effect of Sclera Buckling on Recurrent Retinal Detachment in Silicone Oil Filled Eyes

Objective To study The clinic curative effect of sclera buckling on recurrent retinal detachment in silicone oil filled eyes.Methods Forty-three cases(43 eyes)which had recurrent retinal detachment after vitretomy and silicone oil filled for different reasons were retrospectively studied.The patients were carried out sclera buckling and drainage the subretinal fluid or not to follow up the patients and analysis the clinic curative effect.Results Among 43 eyes,39 eyes' detachment at inferior retinal,4 eyes at superior retinal.41 eyes' retinal repositioned after carried sclera buckling,2 eyes carried vitreous surgery for the severity PVR.The vision of patients:hand move:2 eyes;count finger:4 eyes;0.01:3 eyes;0.01~0.05:19 eyes;0.05~0.1:7 eyes;0.1~0.5:10 eyes.The average follow up time was 10 months,during that time,3 eyes carried vitreous surgery for recurrent retinal detachment.Conclusion Sclera buckling is effect on recurrent retinal detachment in silicone oil filled eyes,but vitreous surgery is more effective for the recurrent detachment eyes with serious PVR.
