A Research on Opening Speech Act of "Silence" from Pragmatic Perspective

As a meaningful opening speech act,silence is very common.It has a very cogent and indispensable communicative function with so many kinds of explanation and presentation from different peoples.With Russian and Chinese as linguistic data,this paper discusses the opening speech act of silence from pragmatic perspective,which will contribute to the successful communication.
