The Production of A/W Glass-Ceramic by Sol-Gel Method

Objective To produce more bioactive glass-ce ramic by sol-gel method.Methods Results Sol-gel glass powder could be produced by tetraethoxysilane and triethylphosphate,and it had plenty of nanonmic pores and much bigger surface area,through certain heat treatment.Powders could be ma de-up to A/W bioactive glass-ceramic,which contained apatite and Wollastonite, and in vitro test showed that bioactive glass-ceramic produced by sol-g el method was more bioactive.Conclusion By sol-gel method,we can produce more bioacti ve glass-ceramics.
