Prevalence of human papillomavirus infection among women with cervical lesion in Harbin

Objective To investigate human papillomavirus(HPV) prevalence and subtypes distribution among women with cervical lesion in Harbin.Methods During September 2009 to November 2010,the HPV types were tested among 1 029 women who were suspected to be suffering from HPV infection or cervical lesion in Harbin.Results The overall positive rate of involved 1 029 women was 31.20%(321/1 029),of which 25.66%(264/1 029) were infected by high-risk types,5.54%(57/1 029) by low-risk types,and 7.09%(73/1 029)by multiple infection.Twenty-one types were detected,of which HPV16(9.72%) was the most common type,followed by HPV53(4.08%).Conclusion Cervical HPV infection has certain regionity.HPV16 and HPV53 is the common type in the HPV infection of suspected to be suffering from HPV infection or cervix lesion in Harbin.
