[Studies on the saponin components of the plants in Yunnan. 3. Sapogenins and saponins from Paris].

Six species of Paris were studied, which all contained diosgenin, but only three of them yielded pennogenin. Dioscin and a crystalline saponin with melting point 254-256℃ were isolated from the rhizome of Paris dunniona Liul var. oligo phylla Wang et Tang.
