摘要
We introduce an electronic control system developed to accelerate prototyping of digital microfluidics (DMF) devices (or chips). Designed to serve a diverse user base with different needs, this versatile control system is capable of operating DMF chips of various substrate types, shapes, sizes, and thicknesses. Constructed of a hinged pair of aluminum chassis, the USB-powered system features up to around 250 independent voltage channels and a quick-and-easy installation of various DMF chips. A graphical user interface (GUI) empowers the users to operate DMF chips with custom-designed electrode patterns.
