摘要
This study aimed to explore students' perceptions of receiving AI chatbot prompt-based instructional intervention in an EFL essay writing unit. After learning the teacher-guided prompt strategies, students compared and contrasted chatbot outputs in the before-after prompt instruction and recognized the importance of AI prompt-based learning for promoting engaging and meaningful learning. Students' reflections illustrated their perceptions of utilizing AI chatbots in EFL writing, and the content analysis revealed the opportunities and challenges inherent in this new AI-assisted pedagogical approach.
