TITA NOPITAWATI. Probiotics Selections from White Shrimp Gut to Increased Growth Performance of White Shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. Under direction of WIDANARNI and DEDI JUSADI. The effect of probiotics isolated from white shrimp gut Litopenaeus vannamei (M2,Z3,K9 and S3) supplemented into the diet on enzym activities, growth performance of white shrimp and digestibility was investigated. A triplicate experiment were conducted using 8,0 g white shrimp. Each shrimp was fed on the diet supplemented with either probiotics produce amylase (M2), produce lypase (Z3), produce protease (Z3), produce amylase, lypase and protease (S3) or control (no supplementation of probiotics). Regardless of the strain, the application of probiotics significantly increased the bacteria population in the shrimp gut, thereby digestibility, protein and lipid retention, food efficiency and growth of shrimp significantly improved. On the other hand, shrimp fed on the diet supplemented with K9 probiotics had the best growth performance. Therefore, K9 is the best probiotics isolated from the white shrimp gut to use as a supplementarydiet for white shrimp.
