摘要
Abstract This paper presents an analytical method for the determination of metal-cutting temperatures. The average tool-chip interface temperature is calculated by considering the mechanism of heat generation during metal-cutting operations in which a type 2 chip is formed. The analytical results agree well with those obtained by test methods, and the theoretical analysis has also yielded some important physical quantities and measurements which affect cutting temperatures.
