Guest-triggered crystallization of π-conjugated pillar[5]arene: from amorphous aggregates to an ordered architecture via solid-state host–guest synergy

The amorphous powder of P5NN can selectively adsorb 2-pentanone, while rearranging the packing of the solid-state molecules from the initially chaotic state to an ordered superstructure.
