Enhanced detection of N-acetylneuraminic acid using a chemiluminescence enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay

We present a rapid, cost-effective, and first-ever IgY-based chemiluminescence ELISA for quantitative detection of Neu5Ac that suppresses nonspecific adsorption and achieves over 5-fold lower IC 50 and 2-fold lower LOD than prior Neu5Ac immunoassays.
