l-Cysteine and N-acetyl-l-cysteine-mediated synthesis of nanosilver-based sols and hydrogels with antibacterial and antibiofilm properties

Novel silver-based materials with enhanced antibacterial and antibiofilm activity were prepared using l -cysteine and N -acetyl- l -cysteine, as bio-reducing agents, at ambient conditions without any additional components or other exposures.
