摘要
This study shows how to reduce the harmful blue light of OLED displays. The results demonstrate that the ratio of harmful blue light depends on the blue dopant‐host spectrum and the resonance strength. We define the harmful blue light spectrum to cover between 415 nm and 455 nm. The ratio of harmful blue light decreases as the blue dopant‐host spectrum shifts toward longer wavelengths. However, a color change could occur from the original one, which contains a shorter spectrum area. In order to maintain the other properties, we simultaneously change the full width at half maximum (FWHM) and the peak wavelength (Wp). As a result, the harmful blue light ratio is reduced from 12% to 7% compared with previous materials. This new technology is already being applied in mass production.
