Factor Structure of the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale During Electroconvulsive Therapy and Magnetic Seizure Therapy in the Treatment of Major Depression

Magnetic seizure therapy (MST), in which seizures are induced using high-dose repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, offers similar efficacy as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), but with lower side effects. We investigate how these treatment modalities compare in their effects on symptom dimensions of depression.
